How to use «Tsunami» in context?

Tsunamis are catastrophic waves created by the collapse of a large piece of ice, such as an iceberg, into the ocean. The wave is caused by the displacement of enormous amounts of water and can be extremely destructive. They typically arise in the open ocean, but are possible even in small, enclosed seas. Tsunamis generally travel fast and deep, and they can reach heights of up to 30 meters (100 feet). They cause extensive damage to coastal areas and can kill thousands of people.
